Employment services
Managing employment relationships has never been more difficult.
The degree to which regulation has been heaped upon regulation may make managing the balance between rights and responsibilities seem almost impossible - especially in any business without a dedicated "Human Resources" department.
We recognise that reality and we work for employers and employees to resolve problems when they arise.

Good practice and employee relations
At Hedleys, we are aware of the contribution that a well-motivated, disciplined workforce makes to a successful business. Making a good start with good recruiting practices and maintaining that successful relationship through good discipline and grievance procedures is only a part of what makes an employment relationship successful. When it is becomes unsuccessful, then handling the ending of the relationship also requires skill and care.
Tribunal claims, redundancy & dismissal
We encourage good employment practices and represent both employers and employees whether or not those systems have failed and an employee leaves. We bring claims for employees on various funding agreements, so having the money to start the case is often not a pre-condition to taking advice. We will discuss your individual circumstances with you.
If you need to release staff due to business pressures, we can advice how to do so "fairly" within the law.
We have regular experience of termination agreements and redundancies, both from the position of employers and employees.

Relocation
Together with our property department, we can assist in the relocation of staff. If employers want to assist staff with relocating to an area, we can advise the employer how best to approach the requirement to move and do the conveyancing/advise upon leases.
